MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – February 22, 2016 5:00 PM
Selectmen Present: Eric R. Munson, Jr., Steven DellaGiustina and Thomas Paine
Also Present : Ed Deming
The Board of Selectmen appointed Daniel Duval, Hannah Gangaware and Myles Trachtenberg to the Broadband Committee.
Ed was informed that there are parcels listed for sale on Johnson Road. As time and monies are available he will be working to get Johnson Road up to a usable condition.
Burt Hill Road’s milling has been scheduled for Monday, April 4th and paving on Monday, April 11th.
Ed recommends milling and paving the mile and half currently scheduled but continuing the milling to Burt Hill Roads end. This will allow the road to be worked if necessary until the entire road has been milled and paved. The Board of Selectmen approved the Chapter 90 request of $44,000 to accomplish the milling.
Ed will be looking to fill a Police Officer’s position. One of the current officer’s has taken on fulltime employment with another town and will be attending the Police Academy.
The Board of Selectmen and Finance Committee met with following Department Heads to discuss their 2017 budgets.
